Filament flow through print core

Recently, the S5 has been having a strange issue where the material just doesn't want to come out of the core. I can load the material, the nfc recognizes it, and at the end of load a nice clean string is extruded. But, when I go to print, nothing comes out? I have to manually, give the filament a little push for the extrusion to start? This never happened before?

I always cut the end of my filament to a point before inserting.  This helps greatly.

I'm guessing the teflon in your core got worn out a bit.  Not a big deal if it's only a problem on loading.

This is one possibility.  There are many other possibilities but from what you describe - that's most likely.  You could try using a different core to verify if you might want to throw that one out and get a new one.
