Hi,

I think I've found a bug in Cura 13.10 (sliced with Ultimaker 2 profile).

The head wanders off into infinity, see this screenshot:

The profile used is this (from the excellent new "Copy profile to clipboard" feature):

Thanks for quick response Daid. Unfortunately not since it's a customer project which I've been asked to keep confidential. But I will ask if I can share it with you only. If I can, how would you like to have it? Dropbox link or e-mail?

Email is fine, d.braam@ultimaker.com, I'll delete the file and do not share it with anyone else (which is my default procedure if I do not get explicit permission to share the file)

No confirmation from my customer, I'll get back as soon as I've heard from them.

It looks like the bottom of your part is a "shell". Maybe you could just send Daid the bottom 1mm of the part somehow. The bizarre thing is the skirt seems to be both inside and outside the part!

I forgot to mention a pretty relevant thing...the object is pretty large, so in the error scenario I have sunk it into the platform with "Cut off object bottom (mm)" by 92mm.

The model needs a lot of internal support structure.

It seems to occur at many "cut off" heights.

The error occurs at the second layer.

However, when I slice the full model (i.e. when not using "cut off.."), the error is not there.

I have checked it it Netfabb and the model is "good" (no holes/bad edges etc).

Could be a bug in clipper. I just updated my development version of Clipper (library I use for lots of the heavy lifting) and the changelog reports a few bug fixes for rare bugs. You could try changing the cutoff point by 0.1mm to see if that causes a difference.

I did change it by 1mm up and down and to completely different cutoff points but not in 0.1mm changes. The ones I tried all gave the error. I hope I can supply you the model tomorrow or this week at least to test with. Thanks.
