I'm using ABS, PVA and PLA, had issues with all of them.
I work in a facility with low air density, so Humidity should not be the problem.

Have you checked the tension on the filament on the feeder? You might need to adjust it so it grips tighter (adjust via the screw on top of the feeder) The filament should have some small marks in it where its getting gripped and pushed, it the tension is wrong it can slip and you will find you will have bits of filament missing where its slipped and eat away.
I will try this fix, seems like there is no problem at the moment. Will have to wait for new PVA to try if it's also the case here.

Do you have this issue with different types of material and color?
Translucent filament or PVA can cause issues sometimes.
