I am not sure if I understood your question, recovery and backup are different things, but I will try to answer it.
There is no option to backup your firmware, and in my opinion it is not really needed, there are only a few settings so you can quickly setup the printer again without restoring a backup.
A recovery from what? Is your printer bricked and not working at all? Then there exists a recovery option but depends on your printer model.
Or do you just want to reset everything, then use the factory reset from the menu.
