Glue stick

Really. From prersonal experience...

You buy a $2000 Ultimaker 3D printer with heated bed and all. But results suck if you do not use a generic $1 glue stick on the glass plate.

The glue heats up and sticks like hell. You have to let it cool down to get the object from the glass plate.

Any glue stick will do. Now and then clean the glass with a spunge and warm water.

I was talking to some power users at the university(8 UM2's in a matrix), and they told me to clean the glass with cleaning vinegar. After this the print sticks to the bed just fine without glue and after a couple times of cleaning the glass with it, when the bed cools down the print just pops off

Note, the first couple times your print might be more stuck to the bed than you may want to.

Haven't tried it myself yet though

Basically any cleaning works, with water and soap (rinse off the soap..) or with cleaning alcohol. I usually once every few prints wipe the bed with a tissue and alcohol. I almost never use glue for PLA, only use it for XT, brase fill etc...

And don't touch the bed with your fingers....

The idea was that this cleaning vinegar does something with the bed that makes plastic attach to it at high temperatures and pops off at lower temperatures, or so I've heard :p
