Install Ultimaker_Cura-4.5.0.AppImage

Hello,

new comer to 3D printing and Cura ...

I'm running a Dell Vostro 1220 with SSD and Ubuntu 16-04.

I downloaded "Ultimaker_Cura-4.5.0.AppImage" from ultimaker cura web site and ... I do not know how to install this software !

Sorry, I'm also new comer to Ubuntu and Linux shell ... this may be the reason !

 

Any how thanks to the one who knows and agree to spend some time in helping me !

Hi, you don't need to install it as such, you only need to make it executable. To do that on the command line do

 

cd DIR_WHERE_FILE_IS_LOCATED

chmod +x Ultimaker_Cura-4.5.0.AppImage

 

You can probably also do it from your filemanager (perhaps, right click, properties?)

 

Once the file is executable you an either execute it from the command line or from the file manager.

You dont.
UltiMaker Cura does not officially support running on Chromebook hardware or operating system.
