This has been requested before, I believe it's still somewhere on our backlog

cylindrical "support blockers" (also modifiable by "per model settings" as the rectangular ones are now).
You can already do this. Just load a cylinder and mark it as a support blocker. You can use any shape of model as a modifier mesh / support blocker

a "compare profiles" option (or plugin) that enables you to compare the differences between two profiles at any time, not just after you've sliced a model and go to change to a different profile, and it should include ALL settings, including the experimental and special modes.
There is a bit of a work around you can do; The complete (flattend) settings are pasted in the logs. But be warned; this is a very long list (~500 ish settings). If you want some more info about what's going on, you can have a look at thegodmode plugin (https://github.com/sedwards2009/cura-god-mode-plugin)

One more thing: The ability to close the window without quitting the program and entailing the entire startup sequence for the program again.
I don't quite understand what you mean by this. Could you give an example?
For the future; Could you report feature requests on github (and please make one request per feature). You can do that on https://github.com/ultimaker/cura/issues/new/choose. This makes it a lot easier for us to keep track of it 🙂
