@JoseAP - I think you want the nozzle (beak?) just a little closer to the bed.  You can test this theory by pushing down a bit on the print head or up a bit on the bed while it prints the bottom layer.

    Ok it's not just the first layer, it appears to be through the entire print.

    Through some trial and error (printed an old print that I knew was good) I realized that there must be something wrong with my printer (old print was lousy as well). I stretched my extruder spring. That helped, I also turn up the temp to 210 degrees. Seems to be printing a lot better now. Thanks for all the suggestions.
