Print 2 models each with a different material US5-Pro

Hello,

I have an S5 and I would like to print 2 models each in a different material, however when I try to set that up in Cura it looks like it is going to setup mix both materials into each print which is not what I would like.

Is it possible to lay out 2 different models in Cura and then select a different material type for each model?

I looked around on the forum first but could not find what I was looking for.

Thanks.

Hi @cpeariso, thank you for your message and welcome to the community.

Yes, that is possible. You'll need to load both of your models into Cura on the Ultimaker S5 buildplate (or load it once and then duplicate it). Then you select which material you want to print the first model in by selecting that model and select the material in the window above it. Then when you select the second model, make sure you also select 'extruder 2' on the left of your screen, at the bottom of the options you have there.

When you have selected 'Extruder 2' you can select the material you want to use again in the window above your models.
