is this a correct way to install feeder

Greetings,

 

I have been trying to load PVA but I was unsuccessful. AS it was stuck inside the feeder. So I have decided to open the feeder and clean it up. then I have closed the feeder after cleaning it. However I was not able to load PVA did I do anything wrong.

Could it be the tension?

 

FYI, I have not used the printer for around 6 months.

That tension setting screw looks quite wrong.  I think it should be wholy inside the feeder.  The hole in the top of the feeder is to let the screwdriver down into it to access the tension screw.  Does that make sense?  you can probably google something like "feeder assembly" and specify fbrc8.com or ultimaker.com like this:

Hi,

as @gr5 correctly suspects the tension setting screw IS set wrong. The internal parts of the feeder should look and be placed like this foto from the ultimaker.com website:

Note: it shows feeder 1, feeder 2 is mirrored.

If the tension screw is installed correctly, it should be possible to set the tension indicator to the middle position (= default position).
