Mold mode - Mold is flat on top, does not follow set Roof Height? (Print ONLY mold shell?)

I am trying to use the Special Mode: Mold to print a mold for my model.

The feature works as intended, except for the top of the model; instead of following the set Mold Roof Height, it cuts off right at the top of the model so that the final layers of the model actually protrude through the mold shell. This doesn't allow for any room for the molding medium (silicone in this case) to cover the model's tip. Attached is a pic of this and my model settings.

Is there a way to make the top of the mold extend past this point?

Likewise, is there a way to print ONLY the mold shell? The inner model has already been printed and sanded/vapor finished.

If not, both of these features would be extremely handy for creating glove molds & their mother molds.

The mould roof height is also controlled by the Minimal Mold Width. If a mould would become too thin at the top to have walls around it at least that thick, it will cut that off. If you set that value lower, it will still print thick walls where possible, but in more cases will opt for thin walls to preserve detail, and if you set it low enough it should let you print right up to the top of the model, but you should use layer view in Preview mode to see if it would make thin walls in undesired places further down.

Also, I'm not sure what you mean exactly by only the shell, other than that it might print infill, but you can disable that by going to Infill > Infill Density and setting that to 0%, and it might print supports on the outside to support any overhangs, but those can usually be removed easily and shouldn't be a problem if they're on the outside anyway.
