Print as support not working as intended

Posted · Print as support not working as intended

When I put an object (not straight) and select it to print as support and slice it I get extra support vertical to the buildplate that isn't part of the object which defeats the whole purpose of using custom supports.

I've been looking info about this and I can't find what what I did wrong. I've checked all the settings with support on it and there's nothing out of place.  (I have generate supports off btw)

Im using version 4.61 of cura and I didn't have this problem a month ago (and I didn't update afaik)
