Nozzle Height Difference Error

Hello,

Tried to with my S5, when the active bed-leveling program was run, the error of 'nozzle height difference is outside of realistic values' (paraphrased) came up.

I have tried:

- Swapping printer cores (AA-AA, AA-CC) combinations

- Thoroughly cleaning the bed (acetone, IPA)

- Manually re-leveling the bed

   - ER45 came up during this process, looked at everything, seems ok, I re-seated the sensor plug anyways. The error hasn't come up again and it didn't come up when doing the XY offset calibration during the active bed-leveling portion.

I don't know what else to try. Core 2 is decently below Core 1 when activated (nothing abnormal) and high above when de-activated.

Any suggestions or solutions would be very welcome!

Hi, is this a problem thats started after having worked fine or is it a new printer?

A few things can make the active leveling fail:

    • The manually leveled bed can be done up to tight, when look at the print bed from the front, you want like a 1mm gap i think it is between the the frame and the glass, if its lower back the adjustment off to get the gap and manual level again, then try auto leveling.
    • Electrical interference, from items close to the printer. So try moving any other electric items away from the printer to see if any of them have been behind interference with the S5 sensor.
