Cura Help, Inner Walls Before Outer Walls?

Hello everyone, I am running into issues with under extrusion on my outer walls. This can be easily fixed if the inner walls are printed before the outer walls however the setting does not exist. The only thing that comes close to it is "Outer Before Inner Walls". I have tried deselecting that option but in both cases the outer walls are always printed before the inner walls. If you are part of the Cura Team, I would love to see the option in a new update 🙂

PS...I already tried extra prime amount however my piece create inconsistent blobs some are perfect and some are too large depending on what side they are on, so Id like to stay away from that option.

Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi there , I am having the exact same issues , problem is its not on all pieces its all piece dependant .

nightmare issue as makes no sense why even when retraction settings are perfect (no stringing or blobs) there is no need for extra prime amount I found it a joke it just uses more plastic and increases weight and filament use  , all options Cura provide should stop it but its so much trial and error and wasting money/filament.

but I did try alternating these options depending on what piece you are printing and it helps or eliminates wall underextrusion.

You will not know if works or fixed it until you print and waste a bit before it shows even with cura preview

play with print wall order and optimise wall print order - seems like they cancel each other out so have a test.

    hope this helps you.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.

      • Ultimaker Cura 5.6 stable released
Cura now supports Method series printers!

A year after the merger of Ultimaker and MakerBotQQ, we have unlocked the ability for users of our Method series printers to slice files using UltiMaker Cura. As of this release, users can find profiles for our Method and Method XL printers, as well as material profiles for ABS-R, ABS-CF, and RapidRinse. Meaning it’s now possible to use either Cura or the existing cloud-slicing software CloudPrint when printing with these printers or materials
