Thanks gr5 I saw this but in fact this is not the only step. step per unit has to be changed into the firmware + the Z offset calibration need to be clear otherwise it will bump the header of the UM2

    Dear Gr5. Can you confirm that in order to change UM2 from 1/8 to 1/16 stepping, I just have to add a jumper on JP3 ?

    Yes, exactly. And changes steps/mm in the ulticontroller. Do you have an ulticontroller on your printer? If you double the steps to 16 microstepping then double the number in the steps/mm parameter. If you skip that step everything will be half as tall!

    Make sure you save all the parameters to eeprom also or you will lose the steps/mm setting when you power cycle the printer.
