Can we make Custom Profiles read only or save them as an uneditable "Default" Profile?

I volunteer at my local makerspace as the 3D printer assembler, repair person, tuner.  We use Cura as our slicer but we have a problem.  Whenever we set up a new or modified 3D Printer I will take however long it takes to generate a really a few good custom printing profiles for it to cover PLA and PETG, support and no support and .12, .20 and .28mm layer heights.

The problem is that these profiles get hopelessly messed up within 24 hours no matter how much we train users NOT to save changes to the tuned custom profiles.

Is there a way to lock custom profiles so changes cannot be saved to them?  That or can I save these custom profiles as "Default" profiles that changes cannot be saved to?

Wow.  Good question.  You could edit the profiles in the same spot where the built in profiles are that come with cura.  You'll lose your edits when someone upgrades cura.  But will that even help if they are saving lots of profiles?
