Plug In Wish - Simplify3D FFF to Cura Import Option?

Hi

 

I'm hoping someone talented in code can consider this!  Several vendors offer FFF profiles for their machines but not a Cura one.

 

I understand the FFF is a big text file and perhaps some fields from S3D do not direct transfer to Cura.  (Perhaps the import process could report what it couldn't transfer?)

 

Please don't flame me....  🙂  Just a wish list item myself and a few peers have chatted about.

I suggest you forget it, because many settings are fundamentally different.

In my opinion, what Cura can do is to support profiles in CSV format. This is only a small project. If this is done, Excel can be used to manage the profiles.

I'm very sorry to say that curasurf is completely right. Once Arachne is merged this is going to be more impossible to convert settings from one slicer to another.
