[CURA FEATURE REQUEST] Dual Extrusion Wipe into model/infill

It'd be nice to have it so that you could set the primetower in cura to be another model, one that doesn't depend on color/material. That way you wouldn't have to waste a bunch of filament since you'd be printing a model you wanted to print out anyway. Another cool feature would be the ability to have the nozzle wipe into infill which would eliminate the need for a prime tower. I don't know if this has been requested before or if it's possible, but I figured I'd ask since it's a feature I'd love to have implemented in the software.

Either way, love Cura! Thanks for making such a good slicer.

So what would marking one model as a prime tower change versus not marking it at all?

The Outer wall Wipe Distance or Infill Wall wipe distance might be what you are looking for.

So the idea would basically be that when switching nozzles/colors for a dual extrusion print, instead of printing out a big tower you could instead used that purged filament to create another model. Setting a model to a prime tower would set it so it prints first (as to work properly as something to purge filament) and it would print upwards.

The features I'm referring to are implemented in PrusaSlicer as MMU2 compatible features.

I apologize if I'm not doing a very good job at explaining this. But the PrusaSlicer features are pretty much what I'm referring to.

        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
