Hi all

I have a problem with new printer.

School just got 2+ connect and I tried to print first model with couple students.

We have updated software to 1.3 as it was needed, calibrated glass panel, loaded PLA and it is started pushing filament true the nuzzle. We got simple button model and sliced it to usb with Cura ( .gcode).  Printer did detect model from usb but it wont start to print. After preheating head will move as it is printing and the timer will run, but no filament. After some time glass panel will start to move down, but still nothing is printing.

Hope you can help us.

There's a lever on the feeder to open/close it and when open it allows filament to slide through.  Did you close the lever so the feeder can start pushing the filament?

When it starts "printing" feel the filament to see if it is advancing into the feeder (it may backup briefly as well - those are retractions - that's normal).

I suspect you either forgot to close the lever or didn't put the filament all the way into the print head.

Have you added the printer as UM2+Connect to Cura? Because when you slice for the UM2+C then you don't get .gcode but a .ufp file. In fact it doesn't matter, UM2+C with never firmware version also prints .gcode, but it is not normal that you get a .gcode file.
