· Options to reduce speed only on small details
Found an option for this. Use support blocker and modify the settings for overlap. This way I managed to configure lower speed for the area overlapped by the support blocker.
Though this is manual step for each new model being sliced. Not sure yet what is causing the observed results, but if this is common issue with insufficient cooling I suppose a fix can easily be applied. An option that reduce speed for small details that participate in larger layer would probably do the job.

You call it "support blocker" but I think the official name is "modifier mesh". When you first created it, perhaps it was called a support blocker but as soon as you changed it to do something else it became a modifier mesh. I think.

In the Cura 5.8 stable release, everyone can now tune their Z seams to look better than ever. Method series users get access to new material profiles, and the base Method model now has a printer profile, meaning the whole Method series is now supported in Cura!
We are happy to announce the next evolution in the UltiMaker 3D printer lineup: the UltiMaker Factor 4 industrial-grade 3D printer, designed to take manufacturing to new levels of efficiency and reliability. Factor 4 is an end-to-end 3D printing solution for light industrial applications
