Posted · CURA 4.9.1 Performance issues

Hi,

I've only had my S5 Bundle for a month now, and after many unfortunate issues, mostly fixed by Firmware upgrades and my better understanding of the nuances of CURA. But as everything in life nothing is perfect, or we wouldn't have these forums, now would we?

While CURA 4.9.1 is running and I've sent a print via my network to my S5 Bundle I go back to my CAD work, etc.. But when I go back into CURA, it takes forever to re-load to my screen and it has become insufferably SLOW and I need to wait for it to respond. I wish I could say that after a few minutes it returns to it's normal (and still very slow) responsiveness. It even worse during overnight runs when my system isn't even being used by any other programs. I don't let my HD or SCREEN sleep, and only use the screensaver/password for access since I run company wider backups, etc to our network servers.

What happens is that CURA seems to loose any ability to function smoothly and you're forced to sit there waiting for what sometimes seems like minutes for the screen to refresh. Things like using the Layer Slider is the worst. The only solution I've found is re-starting CURA. There's got to be something either wrong with the way my WIN10P system is setup, or CURA is not very well behaved in the Windows 10 environment.

Am I the only one seeing this?
