Ultimaker Original Plus Filament Block

Hi everyone,

I have been doing some hours on my UMO+ recently (I know it's old) but have had print stop at the initial layers because of filament messes such as the one attached. I have disabled retraction but the problem still persists. @neotko or anyone else, would you have any suggestions to the prevention of this problem?

Can you post a picture of your print head where we can see the nozzle and the parts above?

And what about the fan for the heatsink, is it running when the nozzle heats up?

The picture is not helpful to check the upper part of the nozzle.

But when you say the fan is disabled, what do you mean with disabled? The fan for the heat sink cannot be disabled in Cura and should start automatically. If this fan is not working, you found already the reason for your problem.
