Nozzle wear or other problem?

Hello,

I have an Ulitmaker now for a while and done quite a few prints but lately before every print I have to preheat the nozzle and then pull the filament out. Cut the first part off and then feed it back in to make the printer work.

also when I print I get a bit of overrun like the nozzle still extracting that I have to clean up.

My question is the nozzle to work and do I need to get a new nozzle and the little white part or is there another problem?

What happens if you don't do the remove-cut-reinsert routine that you describe? Have you tried just turning the extruder gear by hand, to push the filament through the nozzle?

1) UM1 or UM2

2) What happens if you don't cut the end off and put it back in?
