floor missing, slicing issue also near wall

I have seen topics similar to this.

Before, when using Cura 4.08 I had the same problem with a linear wall. I upgraded to 4.10 and is was gone. But now, with 4.10, I have the same issue with a curved wall; there is no foundation under it. I saw the problem in het print result, came back to Cura and found the issue. I then made a new stl file using a different tool from a step. Both .stl s  show the same problem. Picture err1_ss shows a screenshot from Cura with the orange inside showing between the top and middle concentric holes. And that is also what is printed.

Any idea?

The screenshot:

is made from the stl file:

err1.stl

Thanks for any help

playing about with line width and number of lines almost sorts it.

Using the cura arachne engine completely sorts it.

Thanks for the prompt reply. However; could you give me some pointers what "number of lines" you have been playing with? Wall thickness? Set to what?

And, similarly; how to start the "arachne engine"? Should I select something? Although I use an UMO I am still pretty much using the standard settings. I am not that adventurous. 😉

Finally; would you agree that this is an imperfection in Cura? I think it should be so that under the whole 0,6mm of wall there should be a floor, level with the top of the middle hole, exactly how it IS done between the lower and middle ring. Why does it sometimes work okay, and sometimes not. That seems a bug or hidden feature at least.

    Thanks for some pointers.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
