BASF Ultrafuse ABS in Marketplace

hi there,

is BASF Ultrafuse ABS available in Marketplace? Unfortunatly I can't find it among the BASF materials available. I guess generic ABS settings will work as well - just wondering why it's not there.

cheers, Jan

    Hi

not all materials are I the marketplace. There is a lot of work to create a suitable profile for the UM printers to get the best results. Generally these material profiles comes from the vendor itself, so it is mostly their decision for which material they create a profile.

But you don't need a material profile to print with your specific one, just choose a generic one and then set the settings manually according the vendors specifications and do some test prints to fine tune these settings.

In addition it should be mentioned that the generic ABS profile in Cura is basically for Ultimaker ABS which is a modified ABS. That means it prints at slightly lower nozzle and bed temperature than pure ABS which might be an issue if used with a pure or differently modified ABS.
