Posted · Missing outer 3 lines when sliced in 4.13.1

I teach middle school design. Students are using Shapr3D to make models and exporting as .stl files for printing, mostly on a creality ender 3 V2.

On my main laptop (MacBook Pro running Monterey OS 12.2.1) and Cura 4.13.1 (but also on older versions), when I slice a model, the outer 3 layers don't print and though visible in "prepare", they are missing in "preview".  This happens with support on or off, with multiple layer heights, and in different profiles.

Any ideas? This is having an impact on my professional productivity.

Thanks,

Mike

The "Horizontal Expansion" settings (all three) can individually or in combination cause problems like that.  Set them all to "0" and check the preview to see if that makes a difference.

If it doesn't, then use the "File | Save Project" command and post the file here.

Thanks, Greg! I don't remember ever setting Horizontal expansion to anything but the default, but that was it. I haven't printed yet, but sliced new models and preview looks like the model should. Thanks again!
