Posted · how to change fill density during print job

Hi,

New here, I did have a look through the forum to see if my question has been previously addressed but could not find it. I have a job already started to print. How can I stop the job and change the fill density then resume the print job? Any help is much appreciated.

Regards,

Rob

You cannot change the settings while you are already printing.  You can use the "per model settings" tool to create parts with different infill while preparing a print job.

thanks ohoeben, I appreciate your answer. I didn't want to change settings while printing. I was hoping I could pause the job, make the settings change then resume. This functionality is available with other CNC software, it seems that Cura is not capable. I would prefer to pay for decent software, but as the saying goes, if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys.

    cheers,

Same difference. It would mean replacing the gcode that was being sent with new gcode. Cura does not support that.

Cura is very capable, just not capable of that specific feature. But if you think you can pay for software that does this for 3d printers then by all means use that software. I am not aware of any software that does, but then again I only use Cura for slicing.
