TPU filament problems

Posted · TPU filament problems

Hi! 3d printing is quite a new hobby for me and this is my first experience of printing with TPU (SainSmart 75mm). I looked at some similar cases in other forums so I know that other people have the same problem with TPU. I'm using a stock Mk3S, and the problem is that the extruder is not gripping the TPU to send it out the nozzle. I end up getting a lot of dotted lines instead of full layers. I've read that there are parts I can print to upgrade my printer but I'm not sure exactly what the best fix might be. Do you know the solution?

Thank you!

So do you have a prusa printer?  Mk3S sounds like a Prusa.

I'm pretty sure Prusa has forums just like this Ultimaker forum and those people know a LOT more about Prusa printers than the people here on this forum.  So you might find one person here who can answer your question but you can probably find 2000 people on the other forum who can answer your question.  Good luck either way!

Another way to put it - you might get an answer here within a few days but on the other forum you would likely get an answer within a few minutes.
