Basic workflow question:

When I open a project, Cura asks me if I want to create a new profiles or updating existing profiles for the printer, the print parameters, and material, but there is no "use existing" option.

I'm often tweaking my profiles, and each stored project contains the profile at a particular point in time.  I save the projects so that I have a record of what parameters were used for those prints.  Once I've refined that profile, I may want to load an existing project and print it again with the updated profiles.

Shouldn't I be able to load that project and just use the existing "latest and greatest profile?"  It seems like I have to say "create new" and then apply each of the latest and greatest profiles, and then delete the 3 new things that opening the project created.

This seems like way more work than it should be.  It would be so much easier to just select "use existing" for whichever profile I wanted to keep as is.

I know there's an option to open my existing project as a model and keep all the profiles as they are...  So is that the solution, either import models into my current project and keep my profiles as is, or open an old project and either overwrite my profiles or add new ones?  Or am I missing something in the workflow?  Thanks!

Yup.  Is that the only option?  Either import models into my current project and keep my profiles as is, or open an old project and either overwrite my profiles or add new ones?

Yes, those are your only options at this point.
