Vase Bottom Layer Help

Hello I’ve recently gotten into printings various vases for the artistic side and how they show off printer and filament quality too. Anyhow for the life of me I cannot change the bottom layer, it automatically sets the bottom layers to a spiral pattern except if I enable ironing but only the ironing pattern option works. No matter what I set the bottom layer or layers to they are made into an inner wall layer and I can’t change the pattern no matter what pattern I select. I’d like to have my bottom layer a zigzag pattern for better cosmetics and rigidity. Any advice or help is appreciated thanks!!

The only bottom pattern available when using Spiralize in Cura 5.x is "Concentric".  It is "Expected Behavior" and not a bug.

There have been a number of people not happy about this.

@nallath might have more on this topic as it has come up both here and on Guthub.

Is this new in 5.0? Can I use a 4.?? Version or is it different in 5.1, I haven’t had time this week to try it yet. I got my hopes up when I saw the bottom layer pattern option but nope. Maybe there’s a script that can be used to make the bottom layer something different possibly idk??
