Cura 5.1 - support structure not supporting

After Upgrading to Cura 5.1, the support structure seems to have changed.  Please see the attached file.

It compares 5.0 to 5.1 with the same settings.

This part is saved in our Digital Factory and we pull it from to print.

Thanks for your report. We have a team that researches print profile improvements.

Based on their research we changed the default settings for support to make them faster and more consistent.

How are the changes affecting your printjobs? Do you see any decrease in your printed part quality?

It doesn't support at all..the bottom of the part looks terrible. The support barely supports itself.
