Layer randomly shows at bed height then jumps back to where it should be

I've got a model I've exported from Fusion360 and imported into Cura to slice.  When I look at it in Prepare or XRAY it shows it's a solid part (as designed) but when I look at the layer view Layer 186 of 381 is suddenly at Z=0 instead of between 186 and 187.  I haven't tried to print it yet, but I'm worried to try as I don't want to shove my nozzle into the print. It feels like a bug, but it could easily be user error as I'm a novice with this software.

Haven't found any related topics yet, so if I just can't find the right search terms please point me that way if there's already a thread.

Thanks

    Hey @jayfarm,

Welcome to the Ultimaker Community! 🎉

This seems like an issue we have seen in older versions of Cura.
    Are you using Cura 5.1?

Can you share your project file?  I would love to have someone from the Cura team look at it!
To save a project file go to File -> Save project. Don't forget, G-code files are not project files!

    Thank you!
