Posted · Installation of Air Manager takes a long time

Hi,

I've just installed an air manager as part of my S5 pro bundle and after following the "install Air Manager" option in the settings the display just shows a disc spinning.

I understand that this is the printer installing the Air Manager, however it's taking a very long time. As there is no indication of how long this will take, how do I know if this is normal or if my printer is misbehaving?

Thanks

    Hey @CGodden,

Welcome to the Ultimaker Community 🎉

This may seem like a lousy suggestion, but did you try turning it on or off again?

If that doesn't help, than it might be better to reach out to our support experts with some fresh printer logs.

I've tried turning it off and on again twice now, since I initially thought the printer must have frozen or gotten stuck during the installation process.

There are no issues at all if I disconnect the Air Manager and start the printer up with just the S5 and Material Station. It is only when I start it up with the Air Manager, or try to install the Air Manager.

If none of the solutions in this thread work then I will go ahead and submit a ticket.

It turns out I had to install the air manager with the S5 only. Then after that was done, switch everything off, rewire to include the material selection station and then switch it all on again.
