Parts of tree support hang in the air

While inspecting the model I've noticed that some minor parts of support are hanging in the air (surrounded with orange):

 

Probably that is a bug.

It has to do with your setting. I would suggest you use the default to start with. On my system I can open your ptoject and the infill looks good.

That's a impressive model 😄

I would change 3 things seeing your settings:
1. Support Placement; Touching Buildplate

2. Infill Support; Disabled
3. Support interface; Disabled

That will make a much better printjob. No floating pieces of support.

Thanks for suggestion @MariMakes, in general I agree with you. My initial idea was to save on filament for infill. So I started to play with Gradual infill steps  but I coudn't get a feeling how it works. If I set Infill Pattern = Tri-Hexagon, Gradual Infill Steps = 10, then it generates a lot of infill lines in the air:

I think that should not happen.
