Up to you to decide how important the given optimization could be.
Actually I coudn't get Gradual Infill working nicely with spherical shape, but Lightnigng infill is just wonderful, though not ideal. In example below it generates patches of infill on the inner sides which are not connected to rest of the infill and do not develop because of the slope (so, basically wasted):

I can bring your issue up to the team, but it's not a commonly used setting, so expect they might not have time to look at it.
Why did you enable this setting?
Why do you prefer this setting over Gradual Infill or Lightnigng infill that seem more appropriate for this spherical model?
