Bridging not enabled for this part - should it be?

I have bridging enabled for this part, but it had absolutely no effect during printing. I was hoping it would work over the recess, which is .734" x .630" x .075" deep. Should bridging work in this situation?

    Hey @Jpileggi

Welcome to the Ultimaker Community 🎉

Do I understand correctly that you want that are to be bridged but it isn't?
We have a setting that's called Bridge Skin Support Threshold that might help you out here.

In a layer it looks at the proportion of the bridge compared to the non bridged area.

If you increase the value more area's will be bridged.

Is that the setting you are looking for?

Yes, you are correct. I have bridging enabled, and want to bridge that recessed area, but it is not happening.

Here are all my bridge settings. I have Bridge Skin Support Threshold set at 50%. Do you think that is the problem?

If you have Enable Bridging Settings enabled you'll see some space between the lines that are performing the bridging.
In the picture below half of the spaces will be bridged, the other half won't use the bridging settings

I had to increase Bridge Skin Support Threshold to 90%, but now it works! Thank you so much! Now I have to work on reducing the print time.

Do you recommend enabling "Bridge Has Multiple Layers"?
