I'm a bit new to 3D printing and have printed a few things but I'm having an issue where when generating supports, the support itself is not touching the model i'm trying to print. I've tried settings like 'Z overrides X/Y' and changing Support Z Distance, but nothing seems to work. I'm using Cura 5.2.2 Plz help

the model I'm trying to print:

Based on the screenshot of your gcode preview.. the support is working as intended..
It should honestly never be directly printed on unless your using PVA material as support.

What is the issue with the print its generating? do you have pictures of the print?

I'm a bit confused as well. I used Support Interface and when switching layers between the layer the support is printed and the one before, there was a one layer gap between the print and the support.

Hello printers, i had the same issue so i found this page. At first , i didnt found the answer but later after some tooling at Cura i found that theres this SUPPORT BOTTOM DISTANCE, that you should keep in 0 when no touchin or maybe go 0.1mm so that the support doesnt stick.
