Unable to connect to digitial factory

Hi, 

 

We are no longer able to connect the printer (Ultimaker S5) to digital factory. This has been for the last 6 months or so, but only getting around to having a look at it now, now we want to ramp up our printing onsite. 

 

When I try and get the ultimaker digital factory code on the printer, the boxes do not have any numbers in them, and eventually we get a connection error message. We are able to print out of Cura to the printer over the network, but another issue we have is we cannot view the camera stream. Any ideas?

    Hi, sorry to hear your having issues with Digital Factory.
    But as you are having network related issues I would recommend contacting UltiMaker Support directly.

    Regarding the camera issue only: the ability to see the camera (over LAN - unrelated to DF) went away briefly a few weeks ago with  version 8.1.1 and I think it's back in 8.1.2.  So check the firmware version on the printer and if you have 8.1.1 then upgrade to 8.1.2.  If you have 7.X, I'd leave it as is for now until you get DF figured out.

        Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface.
