My Ender3V2 is doing the same thing.
Are you running stock firmware?
I'm using the latest edition of mriscoc's professional firmware. Maybe that's the problem?

This is from the MarlinFW site:
"By default G28 disables bed leveling. Follow with M420 S to turn leveling on.
With ENABLE_LEVELING_AFTER_G28 leveling will always be enabled after G28.
With RESTORE_LEVELING_AFTER_G28 leveling is restored to whatever state it was in before G28."
Both M420 and G29 can take several different parameters.
(My piece of paper only requires that I remember where I put it.)
Edited by GregValiantUsing the stock firmware on my Ender-3 V2 Neo, running G28 then G29 worked fine. You don't need to use M420 to re-enable ABL after running the home command, running G29 does that automatically (duh).
Can't speak for the E3V2Neo (it has since departed this world) but my Ender-3 V3 SE's firmware does have RESTORE_LEVELING_AFTER_G28 enabled.

Is your piece of paper used to level a bed with a PC metal plate which can be affected by the heat?
Yes. However there is a piece of glass on top of the metal plate. It's a composite alumina/silica system and must be at printing temperature for leveling because it changes shape while heating as the coefficients of expansion are different for each material. The nozzle expands as well.
The only downside is that with the bed at 83° for PETG...I can burn my knuckles.

I think that applies to any material of print bed.
But when you have a magnetic sheet and the best way to get the print off is to grab the print bed and flex it... changing nozzles isn't the only reason I got rigger's gloves.
You all use gloves? I’ve just been keeping a bucket of ice and aloe next to the printer for relief post maintenance.
I’m clearly behind the curve on smarts in this group. That said, I have been grabbing hot metal bare handed for a few years (mostly because I’m stupid). I guess I’m used to it.

I don't have any experience with Enders, but since they use Marlin, G28-G29 combo as described should work. Is your firmware up-to-date?
