Bypass Cura 5.3.1 AppImage setup for Ultimaker printers

I've been using my S5 offline (sneakernet and LAN only) for several years.  I'm using the Cura AppImage for modern Linux and I need to bypass the setup.  Simply selecting that I have an Ultimaker printer should be sufficient.

I cannot sign into Digital Factory from the printer nor the app.  I have no idea why that is the case.  My network is simple, but Digital Factory hasn't worked for years and until now I didn't care.

Is anyone aware of how to bypass the setup so I can slice models and save them to a USB drive?

Ultimaker Firmware: 8.1.1 (type 9051)
Cura Version: 5.3.0, 5.3.1
OS: Ubuntu 22.04 derivative (KDE Neon)

I don't know what you mean by "bypassing the setup".

As for the DF signing in not working, if you can provide some log files, I can have a look.

When you first launch Cura, it walks through a setup process.  After agreeing to the User Agreement and clicking next at the data collection notice screen, you have to choose between an Ultimaker printer or a Non-Ultimaker printer.  At this point, it tries to autodetect the printer on the network, and failing that, allows for the user to input the IP address.

If the network setup fails or the printer is not attached to a network, you cannot proceed any further, not even slice and save to USB.

I'd be happy to provide log files with some direction, but my network issue is a separate problem and should be in a separate post, or guidance should occur through private messages if that is an option.

I've managed to commandeer a colleague's Windows desktop and there doesn't appear to be a printer setup process post-install.  It may be because Cura was installed on this machine once before (but was not at the time of this installation).  Unfortunately, I cannot use this machine regularly, so I'll need to either find a way around the post-install setup on Linux or wait for an update that allows the setup process to be bypassed and to be configured manually, later.

But you can? You can just scroll down a bit and select a machine to be added locally.
