Strange Lines in LW-PLA

Hey out there.
Any thoughts on what would cause these lines.
The pen mark is there to tell me at what point I tighten then Y Axis.
I am puzzled. I assume it's slop in the axis. But not sure. It appears to repeat every 12mm or so.
I am stumped.

    Hi @rickyg32,

This might happen with the kind of "special" models we try to print, this as the slicer "cannot" fill the holes that's appear at every crossing lines/cut on the model.

We may have a more correct "assuming" if you share your model in here as a project file.

If this is the problem, you may try to adjust the layer height and there will be an improvement on this issue.

    Thanks

    Torgeir.

So it looks like the biggest issue was mechanical in nature.

I think I had a wheel or two a bit to tight. However I am left with one issue and I am convinced it's Slicer related.

If you see the hole at the top of the top of the lower hole there is a line that is showing up where the holes stop and start.

    Not sure what causes that.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
