First time using the office ultimaker printer in a few years and we are experiencing some issue.

Can anyone spot the potential problem from these pictures?

It was printed standing with the big part at the top, no supports. While I dont expect angles to be perfect, I know they should be printing more succesfully than this. Been a while since I used an FDM printer so I'd really appreciate any help you can give 🙂

A lil more information. This printer has previously printed spheres with very few issues. I dunno why it's decided to mess up at even small overhang angles.

I've tightened the belts on the printer(one was a lil loose, but fixing it didnt make a difference)
    I've calibrated XY
    I've tried printing at 190
    I've cleaned the print core
I'm printing at 100% fan speed, PLA filament, entirely new spool.
I've tried printing at different layer height and speeds, doesn't seem to make a difference.

Tried printing upside down with supports, there is a distinct "stepping" going on

+1 for checking the side fans, debris like a loose chunk of support structure can get in there and jam them up. The printers can't report if the fans are actually running properly so you need to visually check.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
