I did look at 5.7 pre-alpha and it's a bit too risky, for what i'm doing, but dropping back to 5.4 seems reasonable for the short term.

I know they are combating some crashes under Windows 11. I'd give the Alpha a try. I did and some models that were consisting blowing up in Cura 5.6 have been able to be sliced in 5.7a

This is a known bug. It should be fine in Cura 5.4.0 or if you are comfortable with running software that is not ready for release and contains its own bugs there is 5.7.0 pre-alpha you can you can try.
