Sounds rather like an UM Original kit. Take your time to assemble it nicely. This time is not lost! Enjoy it!

the online wiki is very good and pay good attention to the orientation of your parts when you assemble them !

Everything should click together nicely... Be extra careful about assenblying the wood parts of the hotend... there are two that are very delicate !

Yeah sorry, it is an UM1. I got it going. Just a little more daunting than I thought. Just put the ulticontroller together. Even have the doodle3d working on my network.

No, it was ALL day with some started the night before.... Probably equivalent to three evenings depending on how much time is an "evening". I've guessing took me something like 18 hours. I have a bad back and poor workspace so probably took 30% longer than it should have.... And I really need to put tools away so I don't spend 30 minutes looking for a damn hammer.

Well if you can't put a flat pack bookcase together from Ikea this is definitely a project to work your way up too, I would suggest doing some Mechano and Lego builds for warm up exercises. LOL.
