BTW, the "gold" robot on this video was printed with an Ultimaker²

About 350€ :-) (including everything, with motors rivets pulleys rivets, screws&nuts, plastic, electronics, battery, charger and bluetooth bee)

Very fast compared to others I saw.

The customizeable leg quantity is als great. Do you think it's convertable into an ant-like design too??

You mean with an articulated body?

That would be doable, are you familiar with OpenSCAD or Autodesk?

Yes, that's what I mean.

@OpenSCAD & AutoCAD: Unfortunately not - just SolidWorks.

Beside the body, my concern is mainly if the steerability would be affected as the position of the legs will change a bit...

In this case you could re-design just the body using SolidWorks, there is PDF drawings that may help you in the repo

We already made such articulated robots, like this one:

Which is not fully released, but can be already found as "gecky" in the repo sources

The code should be adjusted but it appear to work
