Printing problems

Hello, guys!

I'm ultimaker user in Korea.

Recently, There are big trouble to my Ultimaker 2.

First, plz watch following movies

As you see, Printing quality is very poor.

And Extruder makes sound like "Dak-Dak".

I think this sound is maden by extruder slipping.

Printing condition is :

Layer thickness : 0.2mm

TOP/BOTTOM layer thickness : 0.8mm

Print Speed : 100mm/s

Fill density : 20

Support : Touching buildplate

Adhesion : Brim

Travel Speed : 150mm/s

Yes, that is the sound of the feeder motor encountering too much resistance while feeding the material.

It is a common problem with the UM2 and there seems to be various causes for it. Search the forum for "feeder" "clicking" "extrusion" you'll find some threads about it and things people have tried doing to fix it.

Try slowing your print to 50mm/s. That will reduce the speed at which the feeder pushes the material and should help reduce the clicking.

100mm/s is way too much. I will never exceed 60mm/s

100mm/s isn't unreasonable considering the UM2 page itself advertises 30-300mm/s printing speed.

Also the bridging capabilities of UM2 (and FDM generally) is tad over optimistic with this model...
