How to print at low temperature

Hello,

I have recently made some modification to my printer and I would like to print at really low temperature (40-60 degree).

Unfortunately even if I set up the printing temperature in Cura at 40 degree the printer do not move cause I get an error that the nozzle is still not hot enough.

Someone know how to solve it?

Cheers,

Andrea

    Don't know if this is your problem and not sure if this helps but add to the start code

    M302 ; run extruder when cold

    The extruder is protected against operating while the plastic is still solid.

    This will certainly be one of the restrictions. I can run the printer when I do that when the hotend is cold.

    It does sound like what Zoev89 mentions...

    If you don't want to be adding the M302 command to every gcode file you generate, you can go and make a custom firmware (it sounds like you actually would want to do this if you modified the printer to print stuff at 40-60 degrees...)

    Download the most recent Marlin and look in the configuration.h file for something like:

    #define EXTRUDE_MIN_TEMP

    What can you print at that temperature? And what printer do you have? (Please add it to your profile)

    Chocolate?

    Nope, not chocolates, but different types of liquids, so I do not need high temperature.
