Does anyone know what this extra wire / plug is for?

There is an still unused cable, nothing more. It ended with plug near the print head, near the other connections for the fans that are recognizable by the black fishnet hose.

Yes, this is the cable, perhaps reserved for the second print head, but I do not know exactly.

We included some things in the design that arent used, as they costed very very little to add, but would allow us to give some upgrades later on. This is one of them and is intended for an extra hotend.

Uhm. No. This cable was a preperation for a safety circuit (combined with the 2 jumpers next to the endstop connections) if the safety is disconnected then the machine shuts off all "high power" drivers (heaters/steppers)

Now, in the end, we couldn't find a spot to put a proper temperature switch that would trip fast enough and be compact enough to fit in the head.
