Complete Novice

Been given a UM2 for Christmas and successfully printed out a few items. Really impressed but haven't got a clue about what I'm doing or even the terminology used. Have looked through youmagine and these forums but wondered if anyone had any other suggestions as to acquiring some basic knowledge.

Oh and I presume the base plate is supposed to rattle away in a rather alarming when it's at the bottom ...

Eyup, I'm new to the UM2 as well, but not new to 3D printing or 3D design. I'm only up the M1 from you in Donny, if you need a hand just give me a shout.

Yep noise is normal with the bed raising or lowering.

Wikipedia is always a good start for info in general and any question you have feel free to ask

I learned alot from following this forum, just spending 10 mins. in here every day, reading posts as they come in, instead of only using it to get answers for your questions/problems as they occur.

It will be confusing at first, but you'll get there
