Due to some critical problems, I want to move the 15.02 release very fast. So today or tomorrow.

Right now I have an RC2 at:

http://software.ultimaker.com/Cura_closed_beta/

The changes are:

* Fixed problem with SD saving on Mac and Linux

* Fixed problem with Cura not starting when you have "none ascii" characters in your username

* Fixed UM2 retraction at the end of a print

* Fixed UM2 priming after a filament change when pausing.

I had problems with imported SD material settings disappearing form the printer after power cycling: https://github.com/Ultimaker/Ultimaker2Marlin/issues/68

Anyone else experienced this? (I recommend to back up your SD-file before playing with this, it is very easy so overwrite the file on the SD card by accident)

This can happen if your imported settings put a value "out of range", this will trigger this code:

Hi, as you will be aware I'm new here!

    What is the latest release?

Can someone please explain the difference between 15.02 RC2 and 15.02.1

I have seen issues with 15.02.1 such as the filament retract issue on pause/abort, is this being fixed in RC2 which will later become 15.02.2?

    Many thanks

The RC2 is the same as the 15.02.1 feature wise. The RC's are "release canidates" and thus are made before the actual release. Newer versions will be 15.03-RCx versions.

Daid, no hurry to fix this minor problem, but...

I think you should erase the name on the main display bottom which tells what was saved last time on the SD card. Whenever you make some change to the parts or at least when you replace the plate with new parts, that message should be empty because it can be mistakenly understood as the current design has been saved with that name, which is not true.

    Where am I going wrong.

Since I went from Cura 14 to Cura 15 nothing prints properly.

My 14 stuff is printing okay but anything I am slicing with either version of 15 is either doing a mass retraction and then not refeeding the filament when it goes back to printing.

If it does refeed it carries on printing before the filament is back and just spools every where.

I run a 14 Gcode and it is fine as I said so can't be the printer.

I updated the firmware as well. If it does carry on dosen't retract it kind of jams on the last 2 or 3mm at the top. An just pumps a great ball of plastic onto the top of the print.

    I'm totally baffled.

this might be in the wrong place.

    I don't know!

    15.02.01 not RC2. I don't know.
